I love my TabloTV, I still have the original one I bought four years ago and it has been working like a charm. But a few months back I heard of rumblings of how they were going to introduce commercial skipping. Now skipping commercials is not the hardest thing in the world to do but it would be handy if you could just sit back and not do anything.
Well my prayers have been answered – ohhhh yeah – commercial skipping with TabloTV.
So I got the latest update and then updated the TabloTV app on my AppleTV and sure enough they have this handy dandy option that you can toggle on which will skip commercials. I had my hopes up but I was ready for it not to work that well because it was all new tech. So I turned it on and then totally forgot I had turned it on, and most importantly forgot to tell my wife. My wife loves every variant of Master Chef, Master Chef Canada, Master Chef US, Kids Master Chef. If there is a cooking competition – she loves it. In any event as I said I forgot to mention to my wife about the new feature and when I finally did – her only response was “This is the greatest thing to happen of all time!”. That was not the response I was expecting but I am glad that is what it was. And sure enough it is great. You watch your show and then when the commercial comes on you get a quick glimpse and then it zooms forward. If you really want to watch the commercial it is still there and you can select it and watch it. But if you do nothing it just disappears.
Bravo TabloTV – Brah… haa… voh!
