I have had quite a few e-mails from a wide range of potential cord cutters out there and one theme keeps coming up. There is a misconception that it is all or nothing with cord cutting and I don’t recommend that.
What I suggest you do is get an antenna, (Amazon sells some for around $40-$60), and hook it all up like you are going to cut the cord and test it out for a month or so (keep the box for the antenna). Use just the antenna and see if it is right for you and ease into it. After a month or so make the decision and then call your cable company or Bell and cut the cord if you find that you are happy with the experience.
If at the end you decide to not cut the cord I would suggest you sell your antenna and extra cable on Kijiji and get some of your money back from your experiment.
