So it has been four years since I cut the cord and I have not looked back nor have I wished that I had my old cable TV service. There is really only one time of the year that I miss having cable and that is when the Grey Cup is on – that is a pain to watch without cable. But other than that, based on my estimates, I have saved over $4,000.00 to date by cutting the cord.
I have had a few friends of mine that have been sitting on the fence come and visit this site and have still not pulled the pin – so if you are like that as well don’t feel too bad. The savings start as soon as you cut the cord!
I still have my original TabloTV and that has been working well without any issues. Lately I started using my Amazon Prime account that I use for shipping stuff and that same account can be used to watch all the content they have available. I have also signed up for CraveTV along with HBO and that runs about $20 a month – I am still on the fence if I will keep it because I have watched the shows I wanted to watch. The nice thing is that it is month to month so I can cancel now and perhaps in the fall activate it again.
So that is my four year check in – still using the same equipment and same antenna and still very happy I cut the cord!
