If you are like me you probably have and Amazon Prime account and take full advantage of the free shipping. Amazon is trying to gobble up market share by offering free shipping and I for one love it! But it wasn’t until I was raving about Prime with my nephew that he informed me that what I needed to do is get hooked up with Amazon Prime Video – it is free with your Prime account.
At first I was skeptical, really what kind of content are they giving that is better than Netflix and now CraveTV with HBO. Well suffice to say I was completely mistaken – it is awesome! Original shows like “The Man in the High Castle”. “Fleabag”, “Forever”. And then there is “Parks and Recreation” and a ton of other great shows that you can binge watch.
I was recently reading that Amazon is investing 7 Billion – yes Billion with a “B” on original content and that is in USD so that is like 9.3 Billion CAD or 18 times the total CBC annual operating budget (Crazy). So this is just the beginning of a wonderful relationship!
So the way you get Amazon Prime Video on your TV is via your AppleTV and you download the app and you sign into your account. There are some hoops you have to get through, but once you have it up and running you will be blown away by all of the great content they have.
